CEDRIC GEGEL

DIRECTOR / WRITER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Cedric Gegel is an actor, director, and writer in Columbus, Ohio. He has recently appeared in such films as Mock and Roll (2017), A Murder Party (2016), and Programmed Series: Aznek (in production; slated for release in 2018). He is also signed on to the upcoming television series Knight’s End, where he will star as one of the lead characters, Prince Cnut. Directing experience includes Hidden in Stone (2016), A Light On (2016), and a series of Shakespeare short films, titled When Men Think Least (Henry IV Part I, 2018), Dews of Blood (Hamlet, 2018), and Arm Our Soldier (Coriolanus, 2018). He has also written the award-winning shorts Over the Wall (2016) and Lazaretto (2015).

 

Gegel has won the Amil Award for Merit in Acting (Encore Theatre, Hairspray, Link Larkin), and was nominated for a 2017 Broadway World Columbus “Best Lead Actor in a Play” (Cabaret Theater, Peter and the Starcatcher, Black Stache). He also appeared as The Beast in the Pleasure Guild's February 2018 production of Beauty and the Beast, performed at the Palace Theater in Columbus, Ohio.

Zach Throne

ZACH THRONE

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER / "MIKE"

Zach Throne is a Michigan native, actor, and producer currently residing in Columbus, OH.  Zach has recently performed in The Vampire, or The Bride of the Isles (2018).  Zach also had the pleasure of working with Loose Films on the music video, The One That I Want (2018), and with Desmond Liang and Denison University on a student short film Mask Off (2018).  Zach is currently represented by CAM Talent Agency in Columbus, OH.  This will be Zach’s first feature film debut as a producer, however some of Zach’s credits and experiences include: Grismer Tire and Auto Commercial (2018), Chronicles of Narnia: TLWW (2018), Two Gentleman of Verona (2017), and The Crucible (2017).  Zach is a Dramatic Arts/Politics Graduate from Centre College.  Zach also studied and performed at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in England in 2014.

Jordan Kimes

JORDAN KIMES

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR / PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Jordan Kimes studied International Theater Production and Studio Arts at Ohio Northern University with a focus in Scenic Design, Costume Design, and Scenic Art. During college she worked on many productions as a scenic designer, scenic artist, charge artist, props master, and production manager. She also worked as the charge artist for the Huron Playhouse in the summer of 2013. During college, she became determined to refine her skills in order to use them in film. After graduation, she returned to Ohio Northern as the scenic designer for the Student Directed One Acts and as a scenic painter. She also began more film work with a feature film called "A Spy Not Like Us" about historical figure John Scobell. She was the Production Manager, Production Designer, and Assistant Director for the project. She works on short films, feature films, television, and commercials as a production designer, production manager, director, writer, costume designer, and storyboard artist.

Daniel Stemen

DANIEL STEMEN

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Daniel Stemen currently works as a media specialist in Capital University’s Department of Communication. Outside of work he enjoys expanding his skill set in photography, video, and animation. He hopes to pursue an MFA in Digital Animation and Interactive Media in the near future. Dan has worked alongside Gegel on Fracture (2015), Hidden in Stone (2016), Over the Wall (2016), A Light On (2017), Dews of Blood (2018), Arm Our Soldier (2018), and has added dozens of other projects outside of that working relationship, which has earned him multiple awards for his outstanding work.

Schalet Jackson

SCHALET JACKSON

PRODUCER

Schalet Jackson is a producer and actor who hails from Ada, Ohio.  The oldest of four siblings, she established three career goals in fourth-grade; music education, law and acting.  The road to reaching these goals led her to military service.  While serving her country as an active duty soldier in United State Army, she worked as a food inspection specialist with combat medic duties.  Her dedication to her goals and life-long learning inspired her to earn a bachelor’s degree in music education from Ohio Northern University and a master’s degree in education from Bluffton University.  She achieved her first goal in 2001.  She was Music and Home Arts teacher for five years and recipient of the 2006 Mr. Holland's Opus Teacher of the Year Award by the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, in Studio City California.  Her second goal was achieved in 2006 when she transitioned from music education to labor law.  She is in her twelfth year as an Ohio Education Association Labor Relations Consultant.  Reaching her third goal began in 2013 when she earned her first acting credit.  Living each day as a learning opportunity, she has a new list of goals to achieve.  One of those goals is becoming a successful producer.  She believes that her role in life is to help others discover and utilize their hidden talents.  Schalet is well on her way of doing just that by becoming a highly successful powerhouse in the entertainment industry.

NIK ENGELHART

SOUND MIXER

Originally from Cleveland OH, Nik Engelhart is a local freelance audio engineer who has found ground in various sections of the industry. She has been the sound designer and engineer for several musical productions at Capital University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Technology. She has also designed and engineered the productions Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Addams Family at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, Evita and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at Brecksville Theatres, and Man of La Mancha at A Noise Within Theatre in Pasadena, CA.

Nik currently works at Capital University as Assistant Event Technician as well as a stagehand at Promowest Productions; she has also been the audio technician with local film productions in Columbus on both short films and feature films.

Her hobbies include playing the flute, petting cats, and settling in with a good book.

HAYLEE BRYARS

Haylee Bryars is a film student at Cleveland State University. She grew up in Wapakoneta, Ohio and graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 2015.
Haylee will be graduating in May 2019 from Cleveland State University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Film, TV and Interactive Media along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies. While in college, Haylee worked on a short film, Woebegone, which made an appearance in the 2018 Short, Sweet, Film Festival held in Cleveland, Ohio. She is also involved in many honor societies such as the National Society of Leadership and Success, Golden Key International Honour Society, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Haylee has also volunteered at the Cleveland International Film Festival.

ARIEL FURLOW

2nd Assistant Director

Ariel Furlow is a Cleveland native and production assistant. She has experience producing and directing award winning short films for Film Contests including Three Weeks of Terror and the 48 Hour Film Project. Her most recent work, One More Game (2017), won an award in the 48 Hour Film Project for Best Editing. She continues to pursue her passion for filmmaking in her freetime, where she works as a freelance wedding videographer. Her other hobbies include sewing, photography, good books, and exploring various cities.
