CAST
Corbin Bernsen (George) comes from an entertainment family. His mother Jeanne Cooper was on the Daytime Drama The Young and Restless for 35 years. His father was an agent for writers and directors. A graduate of UCLA, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theater and a Master’s degree in Playwriting, Bernsen jumps between all mediums both in front of, and behind the camera, excited to explore the endless possibilities to tell a story.
He currently plays the role of Vulcan on Starz’s groundbreaking series American Gods. Before that he starred as Henry Spencer for eight seasons on USA Network’s hit original series Psych. He began his career the hit NBC TV series, LA LAW. Twice, he was nominated for both an Emmy® Award and a Golden Globe Award® for his performance as Arnie Becker on the show that virtually created the ensemble drama as we know today. Along the way he hosted Saturday Night Live and guest starred on Seinfeld and Star Trek to name a few notable television appearances. In the feature film arena, he starred in the comedy Disorganized Crime, and had further notable roles in Wolfgang Peterson’s Shattered, The Great White Hype, Tales From the Hood, and as the Cleveland Indians’ third baseman-turned-owner Roger Dorn in the extremely popular Major League series of films. Other film credits include Lay The Favorite with Bruce Willis, and The Big Year with Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson. He also appeared with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer in Shane Black’s Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Recently, Bernsen has moved to the other side of the camera, directing the films Carpool Guy, Dead Air and Rust, which was distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment. With Rust, Bernsen formed Home Theater Films. 25 Hill, which he also wrote and directed about the All American Soap Box Derby was the first title from his newly formed company. This was followed by 3-Day Test (2012) and Beyond the Heavens (2013). Later projects include Christian Mingle (2015) and In-Lawfully Yours (2016). His current projects include the dramatic feature Life with Dog, the family comedy Mary for Mayor and the television series Blind Eye. Bernsen lives in Los Angeles with
his wife of twenty-nine years, actress Amanda Pays, and their four sons.
James Phelps (Tanion/Associate Producer), from Birmingham, England, made his film debut as Fred Weasley in Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone, directed by Chris Columbus and based on the bestselling books by JK Rowling. He went on the reprise the character in the following seven movies and has become an iconic part of a series which has grossed over 8 Billion dollars worldwide. James has trained in the Meisner Acting Technique at the famous Esper Studio in Manhattan, and, in addition to his work on the Potter series, film roles include Ward 3 and the documentary In The Mind’s Eye. James has appeared in the ITV series Kingdom, as well as Danny and the Human Zoo, a BBC TV drama based on the life of the beloved British comedian Lenny Henry. James is a keen extreme sports enthusiast, and has travelled the world to take part in skydiving and mountain climbing events, raising funds for charities including the Teenage Cancer Trust, of which he is a patron.
Carly Sells (Renee) is an actress, known on stage for the Pleasure Guild’s Willy Wonka (Matilda) and Mary Poppins (Chorus), Hilliard Arts Council’s Les Miserables (Little Eponine), Victoria Players Children’s Theatre’s Legally Blonde (Serena) and Roundtown Players’ You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Sally Brown). She is known in film for When Men Think Least (Philippa). She has studied dance extensively as well. Carly was nominated for the Broadwayworld Columbus "Best Actress Under 18" award for her performance in Legally Blonde.
Tanner Sells (Matthew) is an actor, known on stage for the Pleasure Guild’s Willy Wonka (Augustus), Little Theatre Off Broadway’s To Kill A Mockingbird (Jem), Columbus Children’s Theatre’s Crash (Crash), and Hilliard Arts Council’s Les Miserables (Gavroche). He is known in film for Breathe (Ben) and When Men Think Least (Humphrey). Tanner also plays soccer, basketball, guitar, saxophone, and wrestles.
Keegan Sells (David) is known on stage for the Pleasure Guild’s Willy Wonka (Charlie) and Mary Poppins (Chorus), Columbus Children’s Theatre’s Shrek The Musical Jr. (Donkey), Little Theatre Off Broadway’s The Addams Family Musical (Pugsley) and To Kill A Mockingbird (Dill), and Gallery Players’ 13 the Musical (Archie). Keegan is known in film for When Men Think Least (Thomas). Keegan won the Junior Theatre Festival All Star Award for his performance as Donkey in Shrek the Musical Jr., was a finalist for the Voice of the City Competition in 2016, and won the Broadwayworld Columbus "Best Male Actor Under 18" award for his roles in The Addams Family Musical and To Kill A Mockingbird. Keegan also plays soccer, baseball, and drums.
Dillon Perry (Luke) is making his first journey into the world of acting. He impressed the creative team with his poise and passion. Dillon is known as the stud point guard for his school. He models his game after Kyrie Irving, but his acting style is his own.
Nicky Buggs (Alice): This Co-Director of the regionally celebrated Atlanta Chiefs Cheerleaders was a dancer with the world-renowned NFL Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Having performed in several Super Bowls and Playoff Championship games, Nicky was also a member of the notable NBA Dallas Mavericks Dancers, as well as the Captain of the Dallas Desperados Arena Football Cheerleaders. A technically trained dancer of 14-years, Nicky is a native of Manhattan, New York who has also choreographed for leagues such as the NBA, NFL and AFL. She began her dance training with DTH and ultimately received multiple scholarships with Alvin Ailey, Gus Giordano, Tremaine, LA Dance Force and a few other revered and acclaimed companies. As an actor (film, television and commercials), a few of her national and regional accolades include: The WB station’s “One Tree Hill”, recurring role on the Lifetime Channel’s “Army Wives”, “Fighting Temptations”, Nicky also guest-starred along side Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Hudson and Sophie Okonedo in the critically acclaimed book written by Sue Monk Kidd turned movie “The Secret Life of Bees”, “Marry Me” starring Lucy Liu ,“Playing the Field” starring Gerard Butler from the movie “300” and the made for TV movie, “Firelight” playing the wife of Academy Award Winner Cuba Gooding Jr. for whom she has worked with twice. Nicky also plays recurring roles on the hit shows "Powers" and “The Vampire Diaries”. A couple of Nicky’s National theatre tours and journeys include: “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” as Mrs. Potiphar/Assistant Choreographer and Dance Captain, “Kiss Me Kate” Shrew the Musical and “West Side Story” as “Anita”.
Chris Hill (Tim) is an actor, known for Over-the-Rhine (Marcus Rollins), Marauders (James Jackson), Amberpark: The Movie (Adrian), Bender (Ben), Rewind (Mikey), Aaron (Aaron), A Kind of Murder, Miles Ahead, and A Christmas Melody. Chris lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
John Wells (Elza) is an award-winning actor, known for Hatfields and McCoys: Bad Blood (Valentine Hatfield), Legends and Lies (Patrick Henry), The Prisoner of Perdition (Thorne), and Knight’s End (Æthelstan). John was nominated for “Best Actor - Short Film” for his role in Prisoner of Perdition at the 2017 Eyecatcher Film Festival, and has won the “Award of Merit” for the same role at the Southern Shorts Awards. John also won the 2011 awards for “Best Actor” and “Best One-Liner” at the Louisville Fright Night Film Fest for his role in Overtime.
Grace Kelly (Jade) is an Irish-Korean actress born in South Carolina. After high school, Grace joined the Marine Corps where she was fortunate enough to be on the Marine Corps boxing and basketball teams. During her military career, she became the #1 ranked women’s amateur welterweight and was also recognized as Camp Lejeune’s Marine Corps Female Athlete of the Year. She earned an expert marksmanship medal and separated as a Corporal. After the military, Grace went to the College of Idaho to study Opera. In college, Grace began to participate in theater and was cast as Elizabeth in “Catch Me If You Can”. Grace later moved to Las Vegas where she was cast in a dual role as the Nurse and Aurora in Last of the Vegas Magicians, Detective Getty in The Bride of Diablo Canyon (2011), and as Sally Nolan in Sin City Confidential. Since then Grace has moved to her current home in Dayton, Ohio where she was cast as Mady in God’s Favorite. Grace has also performed a variety of roles at the Ohio Renaissance Festival (ORF). She has performed extensively in stage shows and live action combat performances during her time at ORF where she has also been responsible for teaching fight training for many of the shows. In 2017, she was cast as a fighting brigand and dweller in the production of the Rayden Valkyrie pilot and looks forward to working in other productions. Grace has attended numerous stage combat workshops and has experience with a wide variety of weapons including unarmed combat, swords, daggers, rapiers, shields, axes and quarterstaff.
Katie Hubbard (Aros) is a bright, up-and-coming young actress, known for Angel (Ava Weaver), The Calling of Lizzy McBride (Mary McBride), and Ghost in the Family (Sara Beth). Katie was the 2017 Christian Film Festival “Best Child Actress” Award Winner, and was recognized as a 2017 Young Achiever by the International Leadership Network. Katie lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
Gavin Ferguson (Grest) is an actor, known for Shadows in the Closet (Young Wayne), Family Tree (Trey), and Knight’s End (Alfred). Gavin is well known for his diverse skill set and charming personality. He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Jay Reid (Yakun) is an actor, known for his performances in the Hilliard Arts Council’s Hairpsray (Link Larkin), the Pleasure Guild’s Mary Poppins (Neleus), and The Ohio State University’s The Wiz (Tinman). He is an accomplished singer, having performed for Upsidedown Broadway and the Harry Alexander Music Festival. Jay lives in Columbus, Ohio.
Brittany Picard (Maggie) is an actress, known for Alan and the Fullness of Time (Detective Lowell), Dogwood Pass (Savannah Wood), Programmed Series: Aznek (Kimberly), and Black Mamba Rising (Mayor Rice). Brittany lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Amanda Harshbarger (Storm) is an actress, known in film for Endless Watch (Natalie) and on stage for Worthington Community Theatre's Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeital), The Importance of Being Earnest (Cecily Cardew), and The Foreigner (Ellie). Amanda is known for her unstoppable energy and loves spending time with her puppy.
Julie Locker (Flame) is a talented singer and actor, having recently appeared on stage in Fen (Shirley), Power to Help, Power to Hurt (Saoirse), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Julie), and Titus Andronicus (Young Lucius). She is a graduate of Cornell University and received her M.A. in Acting from East 15 Acting School, as well as having completed a Globe Residency in 2016. Julie is an accomplished singer and dancer. We are thrilled to have her join our talented cast!
Janetta Davis (River) is a classically trained actress, known on stage for Hamlet (Gertrude), Henry IV Part I (Peto), and the film Arm Our Soldier (Volumnia). She brings a warm, bubbling personality to the role of River, and a level of gravity and strength to the role. She is also a well-respected and admired vocalist, performing with Opera Project Columbus in multiple shows. Janetta lives in Pataskala, Ohio.
Russell Hawkins (Barsa) is an actor, known for Careful Not to Cry (Ike), Halftime (Doogan), and Fifth Grade Boss (Bling 4 Eva). He is an actor whose command of screen and technique captured the attention of the creative team during the casting process. Russell lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Rosalyn "Roz" Makofsky (Ryloh) is a bright young actress with a penchant for stealing the show. While Rosalyn will be making her feature film debut in Cadia, she is already known for her performances in Shadowbox Live’s Cratchit (Tiny Tina) and The Tenshu (Ghost Girl), as well as Star Performance Academy’s Annie (Molly) and School of Rock (Madison). Rosalyn is also an experienced dancer and performer. Rosalyn lives with her family in Gahanna, Ohio.
Cleo Bowling (Tangi) is an actress, known for Reality (Doug’s Daughter), Welcome to Grandville (Sydney, closing credits vocalist), Aurora (Valerie), and An Occasion For Time (Noel). She is also active on stage, having recently appeared in Disney’s Peter Pan (Wendy) and Beauty and the Beast (Belle), and Into the Woods (Rapunzel) at Children’s Performing Arts of Miamisburg. Cleo lives in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Sarah Fryman (Makeup Assistant / Marie) is an actress. This is her feature film debut. She is known for her performance in the play Median (Hayes). Sarah was a Psychology major at Capital University, where she also minored in Public Relations and Mathematics. She lives in Columbus, Ohio.
Vera Angelina Ignatov (Stone) is an actress, known for her work in The Little Voices Film, Breathe (In Real Time), Marna, and The Monster Within. She is also known for her bubbly personality, her giving spirit, and her commitment to both projects and the people working on them.
William Gorgas (Joe)​ is an actor, singer, and dancer, known onstage most for the National Tour of Elf The Musical (2016) and for the films Here and My Brother's Memory. Other favorite stage credits include the Ralphie in A Christmas Story the Musical, Children of Eden (Young Cain) and South Pacific (Jerome) with Weathervane Playhouse, Krampus: A Yuletide Tale (Bruno) world premiere musical with Short North Stage, Shrek the Musical (Baby Bear) with Pleasure Guild, and Seussical Jr. (Jojo) with Columbus Children's Theatre, among many others. William is a 3-time finalist for the Voice of the City vocal competition, winning his age category in 2017. He is a percussionist and a competitive Irish dancer, qualifying for the 2018 Mid-America Oireachtas. William was cast in Newsies (as a Newsie) for summer 2018 at the Renaissance Theatre.
Rick Montgomery, Jr. (Shiloh) is an award-winning actor and producer, known for his work in Squid Man (Lord Paradox), Crazed (The Mad Doctor), Aimy in a Cage (Commander Lopchocks), Blessid (Jedediah Cross), and the upcoming series Dogwood Pass (Mayor Ambrose Taylor). In 2015, Rick was named "Best Actor: Leading Role - Feature" for his performance in "Blessid." Rick lives in Akron with his wife and their sons.
